Norwich Union adds more funds for investors

Norwich Union is set to add 29 more funds to its Portfolio investment bond , now offering investors the choice of 139 investment funds.

Investment funds are now available in many leading fund management groups, including Aberdeen, Artemis, Gartmore, Investec, Fidelity, Jupiter, JPMorgan Asset Management , Morley, Merrill Lynch, Newton, New Star, Schroder and Threadneedle.

The company claims that by expanding the fund range, it will become easier for customers to build a more diverse portfolio of investments, with a range of risk profiles and asset classes.

Neil Davies, director of investments at Norwich Union, said: "We have added to Portfolio some exciting funds from highly-respected managers.

"Portfolio is proving popular with advisers and customers because it offers access to a wide range of funds, fund managers, investment styles and sectors along with two charging structures."

Mr Davies adds that a special one per cent extra allocation rate will be available from September 25th 2006.

Norwich Union, part of the Aviva group, offers a wide range of investment and savings options, including pensions and individual savings accounts .
