Fidelity International has reopened an
investment bond, which it claims has historically been a
firm favourite for
investors .
The American Special Situations
Fund will become available to investors on October 23rd 2006,
while the initial
charge has also been reduced to 3.5 per cent.
Fidelity International states that the
investment option was so popular that the initial charge has
been hiked to 5.25 per cent in November 2003, in order to curb the
number of
new investments being made.
The investment option is now being managed by investment expert Bob
Hader, a former director of US
equity research, who takes over from Neal Miller.
Richard Wastcoat, managing director at Fidelity International,
commented: Like Neal, Bob's approach means he seeks alpha
from all areas of the market.
He combines a number of alternate stock-picking strategies,
that he has mastered over his 20-plus years of experience, in order
to identify the best US equity opportunities on behalf of his
investors.
Fidelity International is one of the world's largest
investment companies, offering a choice of over 56
companies.
