Stock market speculators have been put on alert after an investments specialist confirmed details of a new product.
Scheduled to launch next week, F&C Asset Management's Sterling Enhanced Cash Fund features a total minimum investment figure of £250,000.
The product comes with an annual management charge of 0.3 per cent, although yield is expected to hit six per cent initially.
Jason Kabel, associate director of the treasury at the investments organisation, has commented on the impending launch.
"Our fund will provide easy access for both institutional investors and investment platforms to higher yields on short-dated securities," he said.
"We believe our product is quite unique in the UK."
Earlier this month, investments group Fidelity International gave speculators an insight into how much the Asian stock market has grown over the past decade.
According to its data, an investor who bought into the South Korean market in 1997 could expect to have encountered value growth of 235 per cent by now.
Meanwhile, Singapore's stock market reportedly boasted a growth rate of 85 per cent over the last decade.
