Stocks in eco-friendly organisations are currently providing fertile ground for investors who wish to maintain a green ethos, it is claimed.
Asset management expert F&C Investments said that although fears have arisen over a bubble in green equities that could be set to pop, climate change-related investment opportunities still abound.
Indeed, the company suggested that "attractive" investments can be found in the solar sector, while the nature of these prospects means they can be truly global in scale, meaning that the world's markets can be analysed by investors.
Terry Coles, co-manager of the F&C Global Climate Opportunities Fund, commented: "Alternative energy is just one of the nine investment themes we follow so we have exposure to other very attractive areas related to climate change."
Other sectors identified include water, acclimatisation, forestry and agriculture, waste, sustained mobility, energy efficiency, carbon trading and advanced materials.
In other investment news, Barclays Wealth claimed recently that two-thirds of stock brokers actually take advantage of volatility in stock markets as an opportunity to hunt down potential bargains. This could be the case if a bubble emerges in green investments .
