A new
investment account which focuses on the Indian market has been
launched.
The
Jupiter
India
Fund (SICAV) will be managed by Avinash Vazirani who believes
that the market offers good long-term
investment opportunities .
He said: We continue to believe that India's economic and
earnings fundamentals will remain strong in the long term.
This will be supported by growing consumer demand from an
emerging middle class population.
Along with
healthcare, the consumer goods market will be one of the key
investment themes of the fund, he added.
If worries about
inflation can be tackled, then the country's economic
growth should continue and this will boost
investments in the nation, he stated.
Yesterday, the
Co-operative Investments announced that it is cutting the cost
of putting
money into a
unit trust or
individual savings account for anyone depositing £7,000 or
more.
According to the firm this will mean people get more from their
investments .
