A new investment fund which offers consumers the chance to benefit from the performance of listed companies across the globe is to be launched.
The M&G Global Dividend Fund is aimed at providing UK consumers with more investment opportunities and greater diversity, the firm states.
Stuart Rhodes, who will manage the investment fund, explained that the focus will be on shares which offer the best prospect for good dividends.
He said: "Dividend investing on a global basis means searching across a wide universe of companies - hugely diverse by country, sector and size - looking for those with the best fundamental valuations, good dividend yields and prospects for dividend growth."
Companies across the globe are increasingly keen to embrace dividend culture, something that investors might benefit from, he added.
Yesterday, John Davey, analyst at Bestinvest, claimed that people would be interested in investing in hedge funds if they were made available to the general public.
