The Fair
Investment Company - a
financial information and comparison company - has revealed its
support for the National
Ethical Investment Week, which is taking place between May 18th
and 24th.
James Caldwell, director of Fairinvestment.co.uk, states that
ethical investment is growing in popularity throughout the UK
and a number of firms are changing their working practices as a
result.
Mr Caldwell adds that a large number of consumers are also
unaware of the range of ethical options that are
currently available on the market.
As such, he hopes the investment week will prompt more people
to think about their social responsibility when deciding where to
invest .
It is hoped the event will promote
green issues and encourage
investors to consider them before making a decision on where
they invest their money.
Ethical Investment Week is being run by the UK Social Investment
Forum (UKSIF), which is a not-for-profit organisation. It was
initially formed in 1991 and now has over 200 members.
