AEGON Scottish Equitable has increase the range of its investment products with the launch of the Bare Discount Gift Trust .
The new investment vehicle allows people to make a gift which will be exempt from inheritance tax after seven years.
Investors will also be able to access the trust through prearranged, regular withdrawals from the underlying bond .
Margaret Jago, technical manager for AEGON Scottish Equitable, said: "This new trust allows for greater flexibility and control for the customer to decide who benefits from their assets and when."
The firm will also help people choose which investment is better for them through its trust decision tree, she added.
Yesterday, Jonathon Willcocks, managing director of global sales at M&G, claimed investment funds are a good way to give kids a financial head start.
According to Mr Willcocks, investment products have outperformed savings accounts since 1989 and for this reason are a better option for those looking to build a nest egg .
