Investment opportunities in Brazil are being recognised by investors, according to a new survey by FC.
The firm asked visitors to its website which country of the 32 at the World Cup represents the best opportunity over the next four years and the South American country was the clear winner.
It garnered 42 per cent of the votes, England was next with 8.8 per cent, while Japan and South Korea both garnered seven per cent of the vote.
Mike Woodward, head of investment trusts at FC Investments, said: Our investors are still keen on the emerging markets story and are not alone in tipping the Brazilian stock market for great things over the next few years.
However, it is important to remember that emerging markets - like any stock market - can be volatile, and a market such as Brazil is particularly vulnerable to any setback in the commodity markets .
Of course, a number of other emerging markets, including India and China, were not in the World Cup and were therefore not included in this survey.
