A financial adviser has named the best funds for consideration for anyone looking at an investment as an individual savings account (ISA).
Torquil Clark recommends Artemis Income as it is flexible and allows investors to put their money into overseas markets while Invesco Perpetual High Income is described as a good option because of the track record of its fund manager .
Newton Global Higher Income could also be an option, according to the advisers, because of its exposure to high growth economies of the Far East and Latin America, as could MG Strategic Corporate Bond, which has performed well through the economic slump.
Other recommended funds include Jupiter Absolute Return and Schroder UK Alpha Plus.
Nigel Walker, head of research at Torquil Clark, said: The Schroder fund, with its very focussed growth bias, complements the three income funds . The Jupiter fund, with its very flexible approach, aims to deliver positive returns irrespective of market conditions.
FC recently said that the Brazilian and Indian economies offered strong growth in the short term while, in the long term, China could offer better returns.
