Financial Services > Investments > Property Overseas > Finding Property Overseas
If you have not already found your perfect property abroad there are several magazines and websites which list world-wide properties for sale and so it is worth flicking through these to see what is available in your price range.
If you are looking for a property to use yourself and with the potential for letting, there are a number of important things you should consider about the property & it's location:
· Is the property in a picturesque area which other people will find attractive?
· Is it close to the sea or ski lifts?
· Are there other local attractions such as an historic town or village?
· How close is the nearest major airport and what is the public transport like?
· Are there any good restaurants, bars or cafés nearby?
· Does your property have a swimming pool (properties with pools are at the top of the list with holiday makers and so not only do you stand to get many more bookings you can potentially double your weekly income)?
· Is your property close to a golf course? The possibility of playing golf on holiday is becoming increasingly popular and you may even be able to attract bookings out of season particularly if your property is in a good all year round destination such as the Canary Islands or Florida.
Do remember that every country has different rules and regulations for buying property and that many have additional costs on top of the selling price, so make sure that you know all there is to know before you take the plunge.
